Ann Walsh

Programme Director MSc Marketing Practice, NUI Galway

Ann joined the Marketing Discipline at NUI Galway eleven years ago following nearly twenty years in senior marketing roles in SMBs and MNCs. From the world of interactive touchscreen technology (at a time that the idea of it seemed so unattainable!) and corporate fundraising rounds with both private equity and venture capital markets, Ann also worked as EMEA Marketing Communications Manager in the health and personal care industry, before returning to Ireland to work in the hospitality sector.  At NUI Galway, Ann focuses on preparing marketing graduates to launch successful careers in Marketing through her award winning MSc Marketing Practice programme.  Facilitating students to keep up to date with emerging trends combined with instilling a strong marketing strategy perspective is central to her role. Ann has also designed this programme to encourage students to mindfully maintain a healthy work-life balance and to build the resilience to sustain a long and successful career in the practice of marketing.
