Cian McCormack is a multi award-winning reporter. 

He works with RTÉ News as a reporter creating content for radio, online and TV.

Cian mostly works for Morning Ireland – Ireland’s most listened to radio programme –reporting from around the country.

Cian has travelled extensively abroad and at home covering stories for RTÉ.

He travelled to Haiti in January and June of 2010, in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, and also covered the presidential elections of Barack Obama and Donald Trump in 2008, 2012 and 2016. In 2017, he covered the migrant crisis as migrants made the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean from Africa to Europe.

In recent years, his ‘Ireland by Bike’ series has become a main part of Morning Ireland’s schedule. For it, Cian travels Ireland by bike bringing the programme to parts of Ireland seldom visited by the national broadcaster.  For this series work Cian records, shoots and edits on his phone.
